Vandalism on the Grammar Dome
|
|
| The Grammar Dome was built in the beginning of the 13th century in the southwestern corner of the plateau in the center of the Temple Mount and is the only Ayyubid madrassa on the Temple Mount today. Two Crusader pillars were repurposed and used to flank one of the building’s entrances. The pillar that stands on the right side of the entrance is vandalized with red marker lines, while the left pillar has been defaced with the following phrase in Arabic writing: “Oh my heart, they sold you at a low price.” |
